Katheryn Louise Shuford

SHUFORD, Katheryn Louise (McKeon) – Born on March 2, 1920 in Great Falls, MT, Katie, entered into rest on November 16, 2018 in Moses Lake, WA.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Wesley William Shuford, Jr. in 2008. Also predeceased by son, David Allen Shuford. She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia L. Amdahl (Ron) and Beverly K. Shuford (Tom); daughter-in-law, Bev Shuford; grandchildren, Ed, Mary, Bill, Missy, Kathleen, Jason, and Jeremy; and by 12 great-grandchildren.  Following high school graduation, Katie’s passion was to attend Art School, but her direction turned to Nursing.  She graduated from the RN program at St Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Boise, ID. She and her husband, Wes, moved to Spokane, where she was employed by St Luke’s Hospital and eventually moved to the nursing program at Spokane Community College, teaching until retirement.  She was a lifetime member of Eastern Star, LOS, and Daughters of the Nile.  The family wishes you please remember Katie privately.
