Marcella “Marci” Smith
Marcella M. (Knutson) Smith, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and
friend, was a guiding light to all who knew her. Marci went suddenly, gently, and
peacefully to be with her Savior Jesus on July 1, 2023 at the age of 72 from natural
causes.
Born and raised in Spokane, WA, Marci touched many lives and will be deeply missed
by those fortunate enough to have been a part of her life. She is survived by her husband
Rev. Bob Smith, sons Matthew and Markie, grandchildren Jamie, Lincoln, Joey, Jade and
Jack, sisters Linda and Pam, nieces Marnae and Christine, as well as numerous other
family members and friends. Marci was preceded in death by her parents Orlin and
Manda Knutson.
Marci had a God given gift for caring and nurturing those around her. She was a mother
figure to many, extending her love with an ability to make everyone feel seen and valued,
offering a listening ear, great advice, and a shoulder to lean on. Marci retired as a
Medical Records Coder, having worked many years at Holy Family Hospital.
Though her time with us was unexpectedly cut short, the impact Marci made on the world
around her will endure through the memories and the love she shared. At her request a
private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
