Neomi Adolphia Purcell was born August 2, 1935, in Bonner’s Ferry, Idaho to Christena Clara Schultz Cummings of Lincoln MT and Lewis Creighton California Purcell of Prairie Todd MN. She died on April 13, 2022 in Spokane WA. She was raised with her brother Lewis “Sonny” Purcell in Bonner’s Ferry Idaho, later Coeur d’Alene. Neomi leaves a rich legacy of seven children, sixteen grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Neomi married Raymond Nelson in 1952. Together they had three children, Linda Adams, Raymond Nelson and William Nelson. In 1963 Neomi married Robert Jensen. Neomi and Robert had four girls, Elizabeth (Bradfish), Pamela Jensen and “the twins” Bonnie (Evans) and Connie (Frater). In 1988 Neomi rekindled her romance with her first husband, Ray, and they remarried. During her life Neomi and her family moved to “follow the work” which included time in Seattle, Nebraska and New Orleans. Wherever life took her, she always returned to Spokane. Neomi lived a long and full life and was loved by all. She is survived by her children: Linda Adams, Raymond Nelson, William Nelson, Pamela Jensen, Bonnie Evans and Connie Frater. Her grandchildren: John Miller, Kris Miller, Jenny Miller, Christina Nelson, Steven Nelson, Delroy Nelson, Raymond Nelson, Julie Smith, Thomas Bradfish, Matthew Bradfish, Andrew Frater, Ethan Frater, Christina Jensen, Brett Jensen, Olivia Brindle, Heather Brindle. Her great-grandchildren: Cierra Miller, Garret Miller, Justine Miller, Lecilia Lopinto, Sierra Miller, Viho Miller, Kaelan Miller, Rilee Smith, Teagan Smith, Leighton Smith, T.J. Bradfish, Haley Bradfish, Gabby Bradfish, Shay Bradfish, Adelynn Frater, Holly Morales, Isaiah Carter, Noah Carter, Able Carter, Bella Jensen and Gage Jensen. Her great-great-grandchildren: Kierra Vargas, Ky Canada, Nalyna Canada and Jay Canada. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, both of her husbands, and daughter Elizabeth Bradfish.
