Patricia Lou Degenhart passed away peacefully at her home, embraced by the love of her family, on January 18, 2025, at the age of 75. Born August 28, 1949, in Butte, Montana, Patti was the beloved daughter of Andrew John and Rose (Mirich) Jaap.
Patti's memory will be forever cherished by her devoted children, Lisa (Steven) Lastuka, Yukon (Tiffany) Degenhart, Randy (Samantha) Degenhart, and Amanda (Nicholas) Lunzer; her treasured grandchildren, Katie, Alec, Hannah, Maddie, Tyson, Maggie, Colin, Louis, Preston, Ryan, and Chase; and her precious great-grandchildren, Piper, Enzo, Charley, and Hadley. She also leaves behind her dear brother, Andrew (Terri) Jaap, Jr., and a multitude of nephews and cousins. She will be missed by her lifelong friends, Kathy Lambeth and Nancy Bergman, and her "gabby grandmas." Patti was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Clinton Degenhart, as well as he parents.
Known for her spunky and dynamic personality, Patti lived a life filled with color and love. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend who thrived on being with her family. She never missed a birthday, holiday, or special occasion, and she could always be found cheering loudly at her grandchildren's sporting events, concerts, and activities -- even during times of illness. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds; she always went out of her way to help others, offer encouragement, or share a kind word.
Patti never met a stranger and she welcomed everyone with open arms and a warm heart. She had an uncanny way of making people feel seen and heard. She valued connection and saw every relationship as a gift. Her door was always open to anyone in need. Her greatest accomplishment was her family, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and steadfast devotion.
