Patricia Maag

December 31, 1931 — July 12, 2024

Patricia (Pat) Louise Maag went home to be with Jesus and her beloved husband on July 12, 2024, at the age of 92.

Pat was born to Jim and Beatrice Alldredge on December 31, 1931, in Ione, Washington. The family moved to Spokane and that is where she met the love of her life, Dave Maag, while attending Lewis and Clark High School. They were married July 22, 1950, and enjoyed over 70 years together until Dave’s death in 2021.

They enjoyed life doing everything together, being focused on the family they created. They constructed a cabin on Priest Lake, later building their retirement home on acreage west of Deer Park. After selling their lake property they once again reverted to camping. First in a pickup camper, then moving to trailer camping. They took multiple road trips in their campers, never leaving home without their thermos of coffee!

Known for her willingness to give of herself, Pat was dedicated to her family, church, and community. She regularly volunteered her time and taught her children valuable life lessons: to love unconditionally, live responsibly, show kindness to others, and trust in God.

Pat loved animals from pets to wildlife.

Pat's legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren, who continue to emulate the values she instilled in them. Her nurturing spirit, guidance, and unconditional love have shaped the generations coming after her.

Pat was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She truly cared about their lives, always ready to give her time, love and support. Pat taught all her children how to live, laugh and love.

Pat was a life-long member of Lincoln Heights Congregational Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave; her parents; and her two sisters. She is survived by her children, Janice (Randy) Cloward, Vickie (Carlyle) Holtan and Bill (Lechia) Maag; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. The family is very grateful to the caregivers at Riverview Memory Care who gave Pat tender loving attention and to Hospice of Spokane who gave heartfelt compassionate support to both Pat and her family. Her life was a testament to the power of love, family, and community. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.

A private family graveside service will be held prior to a public Memorial Service at Riplinger Funeral Home, on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 4:00pm.
