Rickie Steven Juhl passed on February 20th, 2025 at his home in Deer Park, WA.
Rick was born in Spokane, WA on July 22, 1950 to Marion and Leone Juhl as the youngest of 4 children and lived nearly all of his life in Spokane and Deer Park. He was a fixture at Haskins Steel where he worked for over 40 years before retiring in 2016 to focus on the many projects he enjoyed in his shop. Rick had a lifelong love affair with cars…especially Chevy’s. His most recent head turner was a 1940 Chevy Special Deluxe which he enjoyed taking to car shows and seeing his many friends in the classic car community.
Rick loved a hot, sunny day at the lake and didn’t get enough of them. He loved his dogs and nearly always had one riding shotgun. He was always the first to help a friend or neighbor and shared his knowledge and patience with so many by teaching them about cars, how to weld, as well as countless other useful skills. He was strong and warm and loved by everyone he met. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Ellen Juhl of Deer Park, his sister Kay Torrisi, his 4 children Aaron Juhl, Zachary Juhl, Ivy Batten and Nels Juhl and 3 stepchildren Michael Zuidema, Shanamarie Robinson and Kenneth Griffey as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he adored. He was preceded by his parents, sisters Lorraine and Lavonna and stepson Eric Griffey.
