FRANSEN, Robert E. “BUD” (age 88) – It is with much sadness that on May 5th, 2021, we lost a very sweet and kind man, Bud Fransen. Born in Minneapolis, MN to Einar and Velma Fransen, Bud served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a hard-working man, retiring from Inland Empire Paper Mill and owning/operating two 7-11 convenience stores in Spokane Valley for over 38 years. Devoted to community service, Bud, was a member and Past Master of Orchard Masonic Lodge #200, Scottish Rite Bodies, and El Katif Shriners – where he enjoyed membership with the Arab Foot Patrol. He was also a longtime member of the Valley Elks Club. Bud is survived by his loving wife, Sargie, at their home; daughters, Lori Rathmanner (David), Lynne Boatsman (Gary), Ronda Vander Meer (Tim), and Annie Wineman (Mike); his brother, Donald (Donna) Fransen; grandchildren, Sargie Marie, Sam, Sara, Kristi, Sarah, Kevin and Robert; numerous great grandchildren. Bud was preceded in death by daughter, Jonna. Masonic Graveside service will be held Saturday, May 15th, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at The Pines Cemetery, Spokane Valley, WA. Memorials to be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
