Bob gently passed away at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, WA. He was born in Spokane to Edgar and Lina Vawter. He had two brothers Donald and Kenny. They all preceded him in death. Bob is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jeanne; his son, Larry; step children, Jerry and Joanne; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Bob served in the U.S. Navy. He married Janice Mitchell who passed away in 1984. Bob was part owner of K&N Electric before retiring in 1986. Jeanne and Bob moved to Priest River and finished building their home. They later moved back to Spokane in 2000. Bob had deep religious beliefs. He was highly respected by all. He mentored the young people and helped many become Eagle Scouts. Bob was a master craftsman and always ready to help anyone in need. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N. Division, Spokane, WA. Masks will be required. Interment with military honors will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, Spokane, WA.
