Sheila Mary Thomsen

Sheila Mary Thomsen died peacefully with her family by her side on March 7, 2024 at the age of 77. Born in Plain View Nebraska, she had a youth full of adventure having been raised around the world on military bases.  Sheila graduated from Creighton University, and later earned her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Development from Loyola University. She dedicated her life to helping children develop into good human beings as a Montessori teacher. Her lessons and memory will continue to enhance her community for years to come, through friends, students, and family.  

She is survived by her husband Don, sons Joseph (Robin), Jesse (Laurie), George (Shannon) and Thomas (Hannah) and grandchildren Charlotte, Henry, Rose, Wilma and Poppy and sisters Michal and Peggy.

There will be a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of her life at St Ann Catholic Church, 2120 E. 1^st Ave, Spokane WA.
